What a contribution to the TripKaro Founding Community is, what it is not, what you receive, and what happens to your details.

This is a draft, and contributions are closed until it is final. Parts of it need a lawyer and a chartered accountant before TripKaro accepts a single rupee. Every such point is marked TO REVIEW or TO FILL below. Nothing on this page is a legal promise until those marks are gone and the version above is no longer a draft.

What a contribution is

A contribution is a voluntary payment of ₹10 to ₹999 to TripKaro, made because you believe in what we are building. In return you join the Founding Community and receive the thank-yous described below.

A contribution is not:

an investment — it buys no share, no equity and no ownership of any kind, and it carries no right to any financial return;
a purchase — it does not buy a TripKaro plan, a subscription, a ticket or any other product or service;
a charitable donation — TripKaro is a business, not a charity, and a contribution is not tax deductible. TO REVIEW — CA to confirm the tax and GST treatment of contributions that come with benefits
a loan — nothing is owed back to you, except as set out under Refunds.

Who receives your contribution

Contributions are paid by UPI to TripKaro. The payee's name is shown with the payment QR.

Supporter identities

The amount you choose decides your supporter identity. Identities are a way of saying thank you; they are not ranks, and a higher one confers no rights over TripKaro.

The Founding Supporter launch benefit

Supporters whose contribution is ₹100 or more, and whose payment has been verified, receive 50% off one month of an eligible TripKaro plan when paid plans launch.

It applies once, to one month, on the plans TripKaro names as eligible when paid plans launch. TO FILL — eligible plans, redemption window and how it is claimed
It cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or combined with other offers. TO REVIEW
If paid plans never launch, there is no launch benefit to receive. It is a thank-you, not something you are buying.

Early access, feedback opportunities and special launch benefits depend on what TripKaro builds and when; they are offered in good faith and are not guaranteed.

Paying, and verification

You pay by UPI, using the QR shown on the support page, for exactly the amount shown. The QR is a standard UPI payment request.
After paying you upload a screenshot of the successful payment. A screenshot is not proof of payment: a person at TripKaro checks it against the payments actually received.
Your status moves from screenshot received to verified or, if a payment cannot be matched, rejected. We will write to you if a payment is rejected.
Your certificate and any launch benefit become available only once your payment is verified.
TripKaro will never ask for your UPI PIN, card number, OTP or banking password.

Refunds

Contributions are not refundable once received. They go towards building and launching TripKaro — servers, the app, travel services and testing — and are not held back for return.

If you believe a payment went wrong (for example, you paid twice for one contribution), write to business@tripkaro.online with your supporter reference and we will look into it.

TO REVIEW — lawyer and CA This is the owner's stated position (2026-09-15). It must be reviewed before contributions open: TripKaro's published terms offer a seven-day refund on plans, consumer-protection rules apply to payments that come with benefits, and the share image calls the contribution a "donation" while this page says it is not a charitable donation.

How we check a payment

We match your screenshot to the payment request we issued (the amount, TripKaro's UPI ID, and the time), and then to the credit on TripKaro's own bank statement. A payment is verified only once it appears on the bank statement.

TO REVIEW — privacy If automated screenshot reading is switched on, your payment screenshot is sent to Google's Gemini service to read the amount, payee, time and reference. This must be disclosed in the Privacy Policy, with a retention period, before it is switched on.

Your details

To keep your supporter record we collect your name, email address, mobile number and payment screenshot.

Why: to keep your record, verify your payment, contact you about your support and deliver your thank-yous. If you tick the box, also to send you development updates.
Who sees it: only the TripKaro team reconciling payments. Your screenshot is stored privately and is never published. Your email, number and amount are never shown publicly.
Public recognition: your name appears as a supporter only if you allow it, and you can withdraw that at any time.
How long: TO FILL — retention period for supporter records and screenshots
Your rights: under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask to see, correct or erase your details. Write to business@tripkaro.online. Grievance Officer: TO FILL — name.

Changes to these terms

Each version of these terms has a version name, shown at the top. Your supporter record keeps the version you accepted. A change that affects existing supporters will be told to them before it takes effect.
